FP Sociocultural Services and the Community

General competence:

The general competence of this title is to cater to persons in situations of dependency, in household and institutional, in order to maintain and improve their quality of life, welfare activities, not sanitary, psycho-social and domestic management support, implementing measures and rules of prevention and security and leading them to other services as needed.

Professional competencies:

This professional will be able to:

  • Carry out personal hygiene and clothing tasks for people in situations of dependency, providing the precise help, maximizing their autonomy in activities of daily living and maintaining an attitude of respect and professionalism towards them.
  • Organize the intervention related to food, supervising the menus, preparing food and administering it when necessary.
  • Carry out maintenance and cleaning activities at home, guaranteeing habitability conditions, hygiene and order, with quality criteria, safety and care of the environment and, in your case, processing the relevant documentation.
  • Carry out interventions related to the physical state of people in situations of dependency, following the established guidelines and showing respect for your privacy at all times.
  • Carry out transfers, mobilizations and support for the ambulation of people in situations of dependency, using the necessary protocols and technical aids, following the guidelines set out in the individual care plan (PIA) and adopting prevention and safety measures.
  • Respond to emergency situations and health risks in the development of their professional activity, applying first aid techniques.
  • Implement psychosocial support interventions, using technical aids, communication supports and information and communication technologies, and following the guidelines set out in the individual care plan.
  • Apply techniques and strategies for the maintenance and development of the skills of personal and social autonomy of people in situations of dependency., using technical and communication aids according to the guidelines established in the individual care plan.
  • Perform accompaniment and personal assistance tasks, respecting the guidelines of the Individual Plan for Independent Living and the decisions of the user.

General competence:

The general competence of this title is to design, implement and evaluate projects and educational programmes of care for children in the first cycle of early childhood education in the formal sector, According to the pedagogical proposal prepared by a teacher with specialization in early childhood education or equivalent degree, and the stage in the non-formal sector, generating safe and environments in collaboration with other professionals and families.

Professional competencies:

– Schedule educational and intervention of social care for children from the guidelines of the program of the institution and the individual characteristics, of the Group and of the context.

– Organize resources for the development of the activity in response to the needs and characteristics of children.

– The scheduled activities, using the resources and appropriate methodological strategies and creating a climate of confidence.

– Designing and implementing strategies for action with families, within the framework of the purposes and procedures of the institution, to improve the process of intervention.

– To respond to the needs of children, as well as families that require the involvement of other professionals or services, using the resources and appropriate procedures.

– React to contingencies relating to persons, resources or the environment, transmitting security and trust and applying, in your case, the established protocols of action.

– Evaluate the intervention process and the results, developing and managing the documentation associated with the process, and transmitting information in order to improve the quality of service.

– Generate secure environments, respecting the rules and protocols of security in planning and development activities.

– Create and manage a small business, products feasibility study underway, planning of production and marketing.

Jobs and occupations:

* Educator or infant educator in first cycle of early childhood education, always under the supervision of a master or mistress as educators in institutions dependent on State or regional and local bodies, and privately owned centres.

* Teacher or educator in institutions and/or in specific programmes of work with minors (0-6 years) in a situation of social risk, or means of family support, following the guidelines of other professionals.

* Teacher or educator in programs or activities of leisure and infantile free time with minors of 0 a. 6 years: toy libraries, houses of culture, libraries, educational centers, leisure centres, farms schools, etc.

Access to university studies:

– The title of senior technician in early childhood education allows direct access to leading teachings at the University undergraduate degrees on admission conditions laid down.
