Introduction
In the course 2017-2018 The Baccalaureate of Excellence and Research was implemented for the first time at the IES Valle del Cidacos, so that the students of our center could carry out an academic research project, during the two courses of the stage. It is currently legislated with the new Resolution 74/2023, of 24 November, of 2023.
This project works in two lines of action: on the one hand, improve the acquisition of communication skills (both in Spanish and in a second foreign language, English) and, for another, introduce students to the use of research and documentation methods with formulas close to those used in the university environment and that promote a scientific mentality in the student, rigorous, orderly and critical, while strengthening the entrepreneurial and creative spirit, teamwork and self-confidence.
To this end, they are provided with specific training on research, a teacher who tutors their work and the collaboration of entities in the environment.
Finally, The design of this Research Baccalaureate is designed so that it can be carried out from any of the baccalaureate modalities (Health, Humanities, Arts, etc.).
