Training and employment guidance

• The Department promoted various activities related to the matter given in FOL modules (Training and employment guidance), EIE (Enterprise and entrepreneurship), RET (Relationships in the work environment), and AGCE (Administration, Management and marketing of small business) as they can be:
  • Workshops of First aid conducted by personnel of the GHAZEL (Institute Riojano of occupational health) for groups attending the module of FOL. The Riojan organization publishes annually an interesting offer training related to the prevention of risks in the enterprise. For the year 2013 It can be found in the following link.
  • Talk of Prevention and extinction of fire, Thanks to the collaboration of CEIS Rioja.
  • Visits to companies, Public bodies (ADER, FER, Hacienda, Social Security, SEPE, Labour Court of La Rioja, etc.), as well as the possibility of attending labour court proceedings.
• One of our goals is to foster safe work practices and habits, emphasis on prevention. To do this, all students receive extensive training in occupational risk prevention. "To reinforce the content seen in the classroom are organized the"Days of prevention of occupational risks", that enhances the knowledge of the various prevention techniques (Safety at work, Hygiene, Ergonomic and psychosociology). CONTESTS

Also participates in various competitions seeking to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in our young people. Like this, He has participated and has obtained various awards in the following events:

• Competition "Business Ideas" of the Chamber of Commerce of La Rioja. Bases
  There are different categories of awards and our students and the Centre have been any of them. We are encourage to many more ideas can you think, chances you have of winning a prize! To participate only required you to think and develop the following sections in a document:
  • Name of the project (without identification of perpetrators).
  • Problems that solve product or service that aims to commercialize.
  • Need to market that responds to the product or service.
  • Features that make the product or service to be innovative.
  • Differentiating characteristics compared to other products or services.
  • Form that is intended to protect the exclusivity of the product or service.

All that student who wants to participate can attend our Department for more information. During the second quarter of the school year various creativity techniques will be carried out to help our students get the precious award. Courage future entrepreneurs!

• Olympiad of entrepreneurs. It is another interesting contest that consists of making a "Business Plan". This is organized by the ADER in collaboration with the FER, the Chamber of Commerce and the AJER.   Our students have received various awards, as an example in the year 2011 the Valley of the Cidacos IES, won three awards: 2° best tutor, 2best second plan of company and the IES with more proposals submitted to the contest.

• Chair of entrepreneurs of the University of La Rioja. The University of La Rioja also offers US the possibility to introduce ourselves to the competition that they celebrate that can participate in all types of entrepreneurs. BasesFinal date of delivery of works: 26 March of 2013.

PROMOTION OF THE ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT

In order to encourage and bring that entrepreneurial spirit in young people, also participate in the Project hub, European young company; educational program designed by Valnalón (public company “City Industrial of the Valle del Nalón”) for the development of entrepreneurial skills of students in middle grade training cycles. European young company proposes to the students create and manage their own mini-empresa. The chosen legal form is the cooperative society. AGCE or Eid modules students can participate in this project, carrying out activities such as constitute a cooperative, gather in Assembly, negotiate with suppliers, or expose and defend before the public in general what has been done for them. Also performed various markets both in Calahorra and Logroño (in the market of cooperatives axis).

They are already 5 years creating cooperatives, trying to instill in students and competencies that are not in the books as the solidarity, teamwork, the taste for work well done, etc. For those wanting to know a little more about the axis project refer it to the following link:

The Department also collaborates with various NGOs,s of Calahorra, such as ARPS and Calasport, both located in Calahorra, trying to instill in our students the collaboration with those who need it.

DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

Aware of the importance of certain skills in the workplace, our students are trained in various skills required of practitioners, such as the following:

• Teamwork
• Communication
• Negotiation
• Settlement of disputes
• Leadership
• Motivation and leadership teams,
• Etc.

The case study, role-playing, group dynamics, as well as the promotion of self-learning, and innovative techniques in the world of education are practiced by our team with the hope of creating professionals and teams.

PARTICIPATION IN INNOVATIVE LANGUAGE PROJECTS

Aware of the importance of English to get better jobs, We participate in different projects of linguistic innovation from the Center with the objective that our students improved their language skills.

Also from the Department try to our students, not only will improve their skills in a foreign language, but to also improve competition in linguistic communication, to do this we participated in the so-called 'project click'
