The Comenius project is carried out with a German secondary education Institute located in the city of Kirchheim, near Stuttgart. 3º ESO students have the opportunity to make a Exchange linguistic and cultural between the two centers. The stay of 10 days takes place within the same families of German students and two teachers of the German Center. Our students attend several classes in English and German in the German Institute as well as Spanish classes to help improve the Spanish language study in the Center.
The Comenius Project is done with a German Secondary School in Kirchheim, near Stuttgart. Both 14-year-old students (3º ESO) have the opportunity to do a linguistic and cultural exchange. This stay lasts for 10 days and students stay with the German and Spanish host families. Our Spanish students attend English and German lessons at the German school and they help German students with their English lessons.
It is an Institute of high level since German students study three languages, English, French and Spanish. In addition to the classes we also enjoy various excursions for the German environment: the Black Forest, the city of Stuttgart, the medieval university town of Tübingen and other interesting places. The purpose of the Exchange was once more promote the language of the students exchange so they have to use the English language, the Spanish, the French and German to communicate with German students and their families as well as to carry out the project "Mens sana in corpore sano" in which students inquire about their eating habits. The visit of the German students to our region, show them places of interest in Calahorra and surroundings, the capital of La Rioja (Logroño) and other possible interesting sites. In addition they attend Spanish and English language classes.
The German school is to high-level Secondary School so German pupils study three foreign languages, English, French and Spanish. Besides lessons, our students enjoy German landscapes through several trips around the region. They visit the Black Forest, Stuttgart, a medieval university town called Tübingen and other interesting places. The objective is to improve oral skills in English, French and German as well as developing the Comenius Project "Mens Sana in Corpore Sano". Students from both countries, Germany and Spain, study health and eating habits.
