When you look back and think about your school moments, you remember the trips with great intensity, the exchanges and all those activities that were out of the ordinary. And it seems that when you reach adulthood those experiences are relegated to free time or leisure..
The Erasmus + program is a European program that tries to promote job prospects and personal development in a different way than usual since you live the experience in a European country and it is not just leisure time, your training certifies.
The IES Valle del Cidacos center offers this program from the course 2014 and has recently been expanded to the middle grades. This means that the students enrolled in the Vocational Training of this center have the possibility of completing their training and putting their linguistic competence into practice in another country with all that this entails. (know another language, another culture, face challenges, face fears, Among many other things).
From the center it is recommended and encouraged that the students and teachers who, meeting the required requirements, sign up for this type of program because we are convinced of the benefits that in all areas (personal and professional) are obtained. And this is the case of the students Alba Cortés Díez and Teresa Zabal Vitoria who have just returned from Arezzo (Italy) after three months of stay.
Your experience and personal opinion is the best proof that this program is a success..
“The first week was a bit hard because I didn't know where I was going to work yet and my colleagues had already started.
In the second week everything went for the better because they took me to my company, I started working and I realized that I really liked this job and we started to meet more people who were also here from Erasmus.
We have traveled to many places: Florence, Roma, Venice, Milan, Bologna, Lake Como, the islands of Murano and Burano, Cortona, Pisa and Siena. And each trip was completely different from the one before.
At work every day they sent me more tasks and in the end I ended up doing all of them by myself, I saw people with illnesses or problems that I had never seen before and it made me think a lot. But I really liked that feeling of getting up in the morning and being happy because I knew I was going to work on something that I liked. " – Alba
"The truth is that the experience is being unmatched, I didn't expect her like that at all, being an Erasmus where we come to work, I did not know what I was going to find, but it has been all incredible, we have worked but we have also traveled a lot, We have mounted it very well and we have not stopped almost at home ... I would highlight above all the independence you take here and how intense the relationships are, you learn a lot, I work because I have had an internship site that does not exist in Spain or there is no education as such and personally too, because in the end you live with people all the time and you have no choice but to learn and when traveling, search for trips, hostels, move in stations that you do not know…. you also learn a lot.
I would recommend the experience to everyone who can afford it, because it is something that you live once in your life and if you have the opportunity, do not hesitate. To me, he gave me a lot, by language, for the practices, for the people ... because in the end they are people with whom yes or yes you are going to spend three months of your life but everything has gone very well, the language at the beginning is a barrier, but, at the end, Italian is very similar, and none of us have had any kind of problem, in fact most of us already speak something and understand, we understand everything. And the people…. the people are the best of the trip, because they are different friends and they are friends that you have left for a lifetime, and we have gathered people from Andalusia, Catalonia and La Rioja and we are already planning the reunion (laughs)”. – Teresa
